WAP-0008
11b/g
54Mbps Wireless AP SATA/IDE Storage (3.5"HDD)
This upgrade adds great entertainment options to the
WAP-0008. Now you can wirelessly manage, play, and share
files and downloads anywhere on your local network.
With the updated download center, you'll also save power
becuase there's no need to leave your computer on throughout
the night. The WAP-0008's built-in CPU is simple yet powerful
enough to run basic file transfer programs all by itself.
With the new iTunes music server update, you can also
wirelessly manage, play, and share your entire music library
directly from one computer. This wonderful feature gives you
24-hour access to your music from each computer on your
network. There's no need to spend time copying all your music
files to every computer; this update gives you access to your
entire iTunes library from anywhere in the house.
With these new added features, the LevelOne WAP-0008 is
loaded and ready to handle your home entertainment needs.
AMG-2000
Access
Point Management Gateway
This firmware update for the AMG-2000 now offers support
for an additional LevelOne wireless access point: the
WAP-0005. Now you can easily administer LevelOne's WAP-0005,
WAP-0006, and WAP-0009 access with one central device.
The IPsec firmware upgrades the AMG-2000 to support
site-to-site IPsec tunneling. This safely protects your data
as it is sent over the Internet. This update also provides
users with greater security within the local network as the
VPN mechanism creates a barrier to other local users who want
to sniff out your data.
Wireless data sent from your access points is also
protected. Even if there are no wireless encryption keys
established (i.e. - WEP, WPA, or WPA2), the AMG-2000 offers
an additional level of security via the "Local VPN access"
feature.
All in all, AMG-2000 is a safe, flexible, and reliable
central controlling device for any network.

The firmware update for these peripheral network servers
gives your home or small office network greater flexibility.

protocol", your compatibility is increased because now you
can incorporate printers from many different manufacturers.
