IP Audiocast Terminal: IAT-1000

LevelOne IP Audiocast Terminals are small and durable devices that allow system integrators to build a vast audio network. Old audio broadcast technology using RCA cables is cumbersome and difficult to deploy. By using existing Cat.5 infrastructure, LevelOne’s IP Audiocast Terminals help you save cost and deployment time while providing rich and flexible audio control for your clients.

Software

But hardware is only half the equation. The feature-laden IP Audiocast Manager provides an intuitive interface that allows users to manage different audio zones on the network with ease. Your clients will thank you for introducing this new technology which offers total and flexible control of a building’s background music, announcement and paging system.

How to install? (click to enlarge)
This is how you deploy IAT-1000 in a large building.

Now that we've learned how the hardware and software works together, let's look at the physical connections. As you can see, the IP Audiocast System integrates into the existing Cat.5 Ethernet network.

Shopping Mall Example (click to enlarge)
Here's an example of a deployment in the shopping mall.

The IP Audiocast System uses broadcast streaming to send audio to each IAT-1000 terminal on the network. As noted in the shopping mall above, each audio zone can receive any MP3, WAV, playlist (M3U), or live announcement streamed from the control room. This allows users to configure each zone to receive music that is different from the others, providing a truly flexible audio solution.

We learned how to deploy the IP Audiocast System in the shopping mall, but now we're going to expand the idea and show you how you can control multiple buildings from a single location! This will be especially useful for system administrators responsible for several buildings. By using LevelOne's cost-effective and powerful IP KVM Extender and a simple FTP file server, you can schedule and manage the IP Audiocast System in several buildings...all from your home office. This gives flexible control over the organization's communication channels while also saving time and travel costs for the system administrator.
